Why and How Are ALL Christian Churches Unknowingly Promoting Evolution?

Lorraine Day, M.D.

In Genesis 3:4,5 the serpent speaks two lies to Eve.

The First Lie:

The first lie, “Ye shall not surely die” has been accepted as doctrine by the entire Christian world, with the exception of two denominations, the Seventh-Day Adventists and the Jehovah’s Witnesses.  These two denominations do NOT believe that a person goes to heaven or hell when they die.  Instead, they believe, as the Bible teaches, that when a person dies he is asleep, he is unconscious and knows nothing.  His body is in the grave and his breath (#7307 in Hebrew in Strong’s Concordance - NOT a wafting spirit) returns to God, “from whence it came.”

The other denominations speak of this doctrine derisively as “soul sleep.”  Yet Jesus, Himself, described the state of death as a sleep (see the account of Lazarus - also see “What Happens When We Die?” at www.goodnewsaboutgod.com). Virtually the entire Christian world believes that when a person “dies” he DOESN'T really die, he just changes form and continues to live on as a spirit - literally a type of “ghost.”

If this is true, then the serpent told the truth and God told a lie!

The Second Lie:

Verse 5:  For God knows that in the day you eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and you shall be as God, knowing good and evil (calamity).

The serpent (Satan) said that if Eve ate of the tree, she would become as God - she would be in control of her own life, rather than God controlling it.  And if her will differed from God, then HER will would be stronger than God’s will.  She would have “FREE WILL!”

The doctrine of “Free Will” states that God CANNOT save us unless WE let Him!  If that is true, then WHO is in control?  That doctrine makes humans into “gods” and it makes God impotent - and subject to human control.

The ENTIRE Christian world, INCLUDING the Seventh-Day Adventists AND the Jehovah’s Witnesses, claim as one of their FIRMEST doctrines, the doctrine of Free Will! (See “Do We Really Have “Free Will?” at www.goodnewsaboutgod.com)

Yet, this is the LIE that Satan told Even in the Garden approximately 6,000 years ago.

Since that time, “Man” has wanted to become God, and virtually all of “Man’s” efforts have been directed towards that goal.

Included in this doctrine of “Free Will” is the idea that we can decide what the Lord needs done and make our own plans to “do it!”

God called Abraham out of Ur of the Chaldees (Babylon) and took Abraham to the land of Canaan.  God spoke directly to Abraham.  God promised Abraham that he would have a child.

But Abraham decided to do God’s work his own (Abraham’s) way!  Abraham figured hat God needed help to complete His promise.  And that produced Ishmael.

Only when Abraham let God do God’s work God’s way was the son of promise realized - Isaac!

Abraham paid a terrible price for trying to God’s work his own way!  He had to send Ishmael and Hagar away.

God speaks DIRECTLY to those He calls!

(God does NOT speak to them through an organization.)

God CALLED Abraham and God spoke directly to Abraham.

God talked directly with Isaac (Genesis 26)

God talked directly with Jacob (when Jacob wrestled with the “angel.”)   Then God changed Jacob’s name (character) from Jacob (Deceiver) to Israel (Overcomer).

God called Moses and spoke directly to Moses (at the Burning Bush).  Yet, Moses, understanding that he was chosen by God to lead the Israelites out of slavery, tried earlier to do it his (Moses’) way - and committed murder in the process.  God had to send Moses into the wilderness for 40 years to help Moses understand that GOD makes the plans - NOT man - and the timing is of God - NOT of man!

Moses needed an attitude adjustment before God could use him.

But Moses later set up an organization in response, NOT to God’s direction, but in response to the direction of his father-in-law, Jethro.  (Ex 18:13-24)

The Old Testament is a continuous history of Israel (the “chosen” - God’s “church” of the time) wandering away from God, and God raising up a prophet to warn them of the consequences of straying.  Frequently, the “church” (Israel) maimed or killed or imprisoned the prophets that God sent to warn them.

We have many passages in the Old Testament documenting that God spoke directly to the prophets He called:

Samuel
Elijah
Joshua
Elisha
David
Job
Isaiah
Jeremiah
Ezekiel
Daniel
Hosea and all the other Minor prophets

Hebrews 1:1,2 tells us:

“God, Who many times and in many ways spoke in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken unto us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, by whom also He made the eons.”

Notice that in “times past” God spoke through the prophets - NOT through Israel!

God spoke through the individuals HE raised up, the ones HE had personally chosen, NOT through the nation of Israel, NOR through an organized “church.”

Israel kept falling into apostasy, having a form of religion without any power.  They were worshiping God in the way THEY wanted, rather than the way God ordered. They decided to do God’s work their OWN way.

New Testament:

Jesus came to show us that we have DIRECT access to Him.  When He was crucified, the thick curtain (some say it was 18 inches thick) was torn from top to bottom (obviously an act of God) to open the way to the Holy Place.  Man no longer had to seek God through the priests of the temple.  Man could approach God directly, as God had desired initially when He wanted to talk to the Israelites directly, at Mt. Sinai.  It was the Israelites who did not want to talk directly to God “lest we die.”

So, God set up the whole priesthood organization to accommodate the desires of the Israelites.  Instead of talking to God directly, they said, “Moses, YOU talk to God, and then talk to us.  If we talk to God directly, we will die.”

Jesus chose Peter as one of the twelve apostles.  Peter was with Jesus for 3 1/2 years, witnessing that Jesus NEVER made any attempt to set up an organization.  The disciples were VERY interested in Jesus setting up an organization as they were constantly arguing about who would be the greatest in His Kingdom.  But Jesus openly and actively thwarted EVERY attempt to force or entice Him to set up an earthly organization - a “church.”

And even as Jesus neared His crucifixion, knowing He would be physically leaving this earth, He still NEVER made ANY attempt to set up an organization to run things after He went back to heaven.  After all, Jesus can run things on earth no matter WHERE He is!

Acts, Chapter 1, verses 9-11 gives the account of Jesus’ ascension.  Jesus is hardly out of sight before Peter (beginning in verse 15) starts to take over for Jesus.  Peter decides he is in charge and he is going to do God’s work in his OWN way, by picking the disciple to replace Judas Iscariot.

Jesus chose the first twelve disciples Himself, and Jesus was perfectly capable of picking the replacement for Judas, even though Jesus had ascended to heaven.  But Peter obviously believed “out of sight - out of mind” and decided to appoint himself to do the work of Jesus.  Jesus can accomplish His work just as well from heaven as He could when He was on the earth.

But doesn’t God ENDORSE an Organized Church

Look at the many passages in the New Testament that talk about a structured organization in the “church.”  Don’t these prove God’s endorsement of the Organized Church?

Let’s study these texts:

Acts, Chapter 6:  The (uninspired) heading for this Chapter in many Bibles is:  “Deacons are Chosen.  Thus, the implication is that there is an “Organized Church.”

Acts 6:1-4  “And in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplied, there arose a murmuring (complaining) of the Hellenists (non-Jewish believers) against the Hebrews (the Jewish believers) because their widows (the Hellenists) were neglected in the daily food distribution.

Then the twelve disciples called the multitude of the disciples unto them and said, ‘It is not pleasing for us to leave the word of God to be serving tables (acting as waiters).  Now, brethren, pick out seven men of honest report, full of the Spirit and of wisdom, whom we will place over this need.  And we shall be persevering in prayer and the ministry of the word.”

In other words, the twelve disciples were called to preach the gospel.  They appointed others to wait on tables and distribute food.  The appointment of waiters is not sufficient evidence that God approves of an “Organized Church.”

In Acts, Chapter 8, great persecution of the believers occurs and the majority of them fled and were, thus, dispersed.  Only the Twelve stayed in Jerusalem.

In Acts 8:26, God speaks DIRECTLY to Philip and tells him to go to Gaza where he will meet up with Queen Candace’s Ethiopian Eunuch.  NOTE:  God speaks DIRECTLY to Philip, not through an organized church structure.

Acts 10:  God speaks DIRECTLY to Peter and to Cornelius

Acts 11:1,2  James, the Step-brother of Christ, who was NOT called or chosen by Jesus when He was on earth, and, in fact, was NOT even a believer in Jesus when He was on earth, shows up as the (obviously self-appointed,” or at least “man-appointed”) “head” of the “Organized Church” in Jerusalem.

This self-appointed “Organized Church” starts to come against Peter, a disciple chosen by Christ, Himself.

Acts 12:17 shows us that James is the apparently self-appointed (NOT God-appointed) leader of the “Organized Church” in Jerusalem.

Acts 14:23  Paul and Barnabas are visiting the various groups of believers (in Antioch, Iconium, Derbe, etc) and:

“…select elders for them according to the ecclesia, praying with fastings, they committed them to the Lord in Whom they had believed.”

“Elders” often means those who are older, or more senior in age, who will have the respect of the group of believers and have the wisdom to judge disagreements, etc.  Again, this does not necessarily constitute an “Organized Church.”

Acts 15:22  “Then it seems good to the apostles and the elders, together with the whole ecclesia, to choose men from among them to send to Antioch together with Paul and Barnabas, Judas and Silas, leading men among the brethren. . .”

This group of believers just got together to choose some from among them to accompany Paul, Barnabas and the others on a trip, an action that any group of people could do.

Acts 20:17  “Now from Miletus, sending to Ephesus, he calls for the elders (?those who are older in age from the group of believers?) of the ecclesia.”

Acts 20:28 speaks of supervisors shepherding the ecclesia of God, and from THESE will arise “burdensome wolves, not sparing the flock and they will speak perverse things, to pull away disciples after themselves.  Wherefore, watch!. . .”

1 Cor 6:4  This text tells the believers that they should settle disputes among themselves rather than go before a court run by unbelievers.

1 Cor 12:28:  GOD has placed in the ecclesia, apostles, prophets, teachers, healers, etc.  This does NOT say that “Man” has made these choices.  NOT man, but God.

1 Tim 3:2  The (Uninspired) heading of this chapter is “Overseers and Deacons.”

But there is NO such word as “deacon” in the original Scriptures.  The word is “servant” just as Jesus was a “servant” (washing the disciples feet) and as WE should be “servants.”

(This same passage (1 Tim, Chapter 2) also says that women should dress modestly and not wear jewelry  - “gold and pearls and braids”= excessively fancy hairdos.)

James 5:14  “If anyone is sick, let him call for the elders (older in age - seniors in the group of believers) and let them pray for him. . .”

11 Peter 5:1-3  “The elders” among you” - - -Does this necessarily mean an “Organized Church” structure, or just the eldest in age among the believers.

2 Cor 8:19  The group of believers selects someone to travel with Paul.

2Cor 8:23 The “apostles” of the ecclesias (groups of called ones).  Followers of Christ, Chosen by Christ, who worship with their fellow believers.

Conclusion:

When “MAN” sets up an organization, the “Organized Church,” there is NO precedent from the life of Jesus.  Jesus did EVERYTHING He could to show us that He did NOT want an “Organized Church.”  He wants to direct each individual personally and He knows that once an “Organized Church” is established, the “Church” will start giving directions, rather than each individual being led directly by God.

“Man” ALWAYS wants to SEE who He is dealing with.  But that is “walking by SIGHT, NOT by faith!”

Conclusion:

“Man” wants to be in charge of other believers rather than letting God be in charge of EVERY believer.  Man is trying to be God!

The Seventh-Day Sabbath

The Seventh-Day Sabbath is the Memorial of Creation, the sign that God owns the whole world and everything in it and has the right to run EVERYTHING - including US!

The Christian world has DONE AWAY with the Seventh-Day Sabbath, and has chosen to worship on Sunday, the day of the Pagan Sun god, in direct rebellion against the day that God made holy. (Exodus 20: 8 - 11): Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy.

When the Christian world does away with the memorial of Creation, they pave the way for the rejection of Creation and the acceptance of Evolution.

The Pope recently endorsed Evolution, and accepted a combination of Creation AND Evolution as the origin of the earth and its inhabitants.

Creation must be done away with for the evil New World Order to be enforced.

Creation states that God made everything perfect, then sin came and everything started to decay and die.  Everything is getting worse.

But Evolution states that “Man” came out of an unknown amorphous mass - slime - and continues to get better and better.  Therefore, soon we can all become “gods.”

This is the philosophy of New Age, New World Order, Satanism and every other Pagan religion.  They believe we don’t need a Saviour.  We can do it on our own.

The Christian denominations, by accepting the doctrine of 1) “Free Will,” 2) Sunday sacredness and, 3) an “Organized Church,” 501-C-3 Corporations that are ALWAYS led by men and not by God, they are eliminating Creation and endorsing Evolution, the idea that “Man” can become God!

Virtually NO Christian from ANY “Organized Church” will agree that he or she has done that, but, I believe, in depth study will prove this to be true.
